Cloudflare is a very popular and useful service at both paid and free subscription levels. Some businesses or agencies use it as a Content Delivery Network (CDN) to cache static files and get their site loading faster, others just prefer to have a single nameserver to manage their Domain Name System (DNS) configurations.<\/p>\n

Because of some of it\u2019s features there are some steps you\u2019ll have to follow to add any Cloudflare managed domain to your site in Website Pro:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Ensure your DNS Records (relevant A and CNAME records) are configured as explained here<\/a>.<\/li>\n
  2. In the \u201cCrypto\u201d tab of Cloudflare change the \u201cSSL\u201d to Full<\/strong><\/li>\n
  3. In the \u201cCrypto\u201d tab of Cloudflare change \u201cAlways use HTTPS\u201d to Off<\/strong><\/li>\n
  4. In Website Pro, add the domain(s) in the Domains tab. Note: There might be some propagation delay for those records. See the\u00a0DNS Record Caching<\/a>\u00a0article for more information about that.<\/li>\n
  5. In the \u201cCrypto\u201d tab of Cloudflare change \u201cAlways use HTTPS\u201d to On<\/b>,\u00a0when the status of the domain(s) is “connected” in Website Pro.<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Note<\/strong>: Unfortunately CloudFlare has some technical limitations if you are using a four level domain (like “www.<\/strong>your.<\/strong>business.<\/strong>com<\/em>“)\u00a0 that can be solved in one of two ways:<\/p>\n

    1. Turn off the\u00a0DNS and HTTP Proxy<\/strong> mode for that domain, or<\/li>\n
    2. Purchase additional SSL Certificates for CloudFlare under the “Crypto” tab under the “Edge Certificates > Order SSL Certificate” section.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
